The Friday market in Romsey disappointed me today.
All I wanted was one lemon, but sadly there was no veg stall today and in my mind I could see my much anticipated gin and tonic later in the day fast disappearing.
Even so, the regular Friday market was as busy as ever and when you consider that it is one of three market days in the town every week, I suppose I should not have been disappointed — clothing, eggs, cakes, flowers, bits and pieces for telephones and even vacuum cleaners. Carpets as well, and other nick-nacks. 
But today it was the relaxing end of day G&T which I had set my mind on, and the only lemon at home was very much past its best And looked as though it would add very little to my drink.
So it was a slight diversion on the way home to pick one off the supermarket shelf.  I did get my drink early evening, just as I like it.
