Globe Artichoke

The garden is full of produce at the moment, including these Globe Artichokes, which are almost ready. I took my Gran on a wee tour of the garden this evening as it was a rare dry day to show her round. She's not been in our garden since shortly after we moved in, which was more than nine years ago now. It has changed a lot since then. At that time it was simply a lawn with a shed and a cold, shady patio. It now has 8 raised vegetable beds, 2 pear trees, an apple tree, a bike shed, a play house and a green house. It's very busy!
Wee B and I watched Swallows and Amazons snuggled up in my bed this evening. It's a brilliant story of adventure. I enjoyed having some time with my wee girl before she's back to school on Tuesday. Hard to believe she's going to be a primary 4.
