Turf wars?

I sat on my scooter and watched this bee activity for awhile this morning. I expected these bees, obviously different breeds, would fight each other for the rights to the sunflower booty. But they munched happily side by side. I think there's a lesson there for humans. There is enough to go around if we all just take our share and not lay claim to the whole of it.

And who's this? the Green Hornet? I've never seen a bee like this before. Any ideas what it is?
