Sherborne Castle

It was a really grey day, I ran, but TT didn’t.  He decided that he wanted to visit Sherborne Castle.  We drove to Sherborne, and once we were there, we had real difficulty finding the castle.  We found the “new” castle – which wasn’t open, but couldn’t find the old one which is in the care of English Heritage.  After driving round a few times, we eventually found it, but there was a real lack of signs – I’m surprised anyone finds it.

To be honest there really wasn’t much of the castle left, as it was a minimalist ruin. We got back to the car just before the torrential rain came on.  it was another picnic in the car day.

We drove back into Sherborne and went for a  wander in the rain, until it became so heavy and we were all so wet, we had had enough.  We drove home and watched Alice Through The Looking Glass.  Once BB was in bed, TT and I continued watching Cracker.
