Good question
Asking myself this after hearing about yet another dreadful terror attack, this time in Barcelona. Even more scary because flora was there two days before.
Krk man said I must be rich because I'm always working and said he "needs my bank card".
Flower arranging in the afternoon. Martha Wardrop dropped by to take pictures. I made a HUGE arrangement with gladioli for Kember and jones.
It was pouring with rain , very cold and damp, so I left early. In the evening Flora, Eleanor and I went to an outdoor cinema in the botanics. We weren't feeling enthusiastic to begin with as it was freezing and raining but we went anyway as Stewart had bought us the tickets. It didn't start well as there was a technical problem and the sound didn't work - so we watched the opening scene (of Santa Claus) about 10 times. We laughed at the fact that we were sitting in the pouring rain in August watching a silent Christmas movie about Glasgows ice-cream mafia. We lasted about half way but when the people in front of us left we all just looked at each other and abandoned ship. On the way out one of the stewards looked at us very pityingly and gave us a booklet of discounts as if to make up for the frost bite.
