Les Bassacs

We arrived in Les Bassacs about an hour's journey from Marseille into Provence. Having to wait in the airport until until after six for people on delayed flights certainly made us later than planned.
Les Bassacs was started in 1989 as an arts centre. The house I am staying in dates from 1487 and was converted from semi derelict farm buildings. It is very quirky and I have two tiny rooms, one of which I can use as a studio if I wish although the main studio is large and will accommodate ten of us tomorrow afternoon when we begin the workshop. Most mornings we will be out in the Provençal countryside and afternoons will be in the studio with the tutor.
