The end of the action-packed London weekend. Took the boy on his first underground train trip - when I told him it was time to get off he answered with one word "Later", I suspect we could have spent all day underground. Arlo's patience and enjoyment on the long journey too and from London was impressive (look Mum is reading an actual book), so impressive that I'm thinking the family might be best served if permanently mobile.

Was reading good things about Tim Burgess' latest album. It's a release that would generally have passed me by, despite the Charlatans being one of my first musical loves and soundtracking many great indie disco moments throughout school and university, however the collaboration with Kurt Wagner piqued my interest and I had to take a listen. The first single White is pretty good in that laidback soul fuelled way you'd expect from Lambchop, the blond bowl cut however is terrible.
