Grand Ole Opry - Nashville

The most amazing day! Out the door at 9 am and headed in to downtown Nashville. We had a great breakfast at a new 6 floor diner, then wandered the sweltering and increasingly packed streets on our quest for cowboy boots. We ended up at a 3-for-1 store. Hazelh and i bought the same navy blue pair and she found her much sought after red pair. We spent the afternoon at the iconic honky tonk bar Nudies, 1stly enjoying the Jarett McAlistair Band, and then a 2nd more high energy band, whose name escapes me right now... Hazelh do you recall? We danced and clapped and had so much fun while the men carried on their bromance at the bar. The evening was spent at the Opry Backstage for dinner, were the wait staff pop up on the stage to perform. There was a backup at the bar when the bartender disappeared to sing his set of 2 songs. Next stop was Grande Ole Opry, awesome to finally see it as it was flooded when we were here in 2010. Tonight we enjoyed 8 performers, the last 2 being Vince Gill and Crystal Gayle...it was lovely!
