Village breakfast

We like our new village.  There's sort of just enough going on to make it sociable, but not too much to be too much.  This morning was the village breakfast, a couple of the fine and upstanding men of the village served us and their wives cooked.  The bliss of a full English with no cooking and no washing up, and cheap as chips.  We happily watched the boys play with some of the other children and chatted to some of our neighbours, found out that one of them is from J'burg, so the husband swapped stories with her.  Pretty good start to the day.

I've spent the rest of the day in the garden with the boys, working off the breakfast, which I must of done.  I've been digging away where the 6ft nettles once were and getting it all ready to grass over.  It's been quite a task digging up roots and finding all kinds of things in the mean time.  It's feeling as if it's coming together a little. 11
