15th annual Bisterne Scarecrow Festival

All along the backroad from Ringwood through the hamlet of Bisterne, are "scarecrows"
We did a run one way through the village and then chose our participant, based on looks and how easy it was to park on a very busy road.

I felt the best way to demonstrate this work of art was to kneel in the middle of the road but screams of alarm prevented me from doing so.
This fine exhibit is BEE based and you can share the delight with me by looking carefully at the sculpture.
All the bees, etc had tags attached referring to a bee species of some sort.

From the right, you can see the bee with a sign saying "Stop DRONING on"
For the Shakespeare fans, Yorick's skull, marked " To BEE or not to BEE"
Then a pair, "BEETROTH" and so on until the Queen BEE at the end.

You might call it the BEE's knees (back left).

I am not sure how effective these items are in the business if scaring crows.

A lot of work has gone into this and others....and then the rains came down and we retired to a local pub for a plate of roast BEEf and Yorkshire puddings so high they touched the sky.
