KWIK cricket festival

Spent the morning being 'in charge' serving hot drinks, bacon rolls and cake at the boys cricket club. The weather was fab, 10 teams played and we catered well for grown ups and children alike. The boys both enjoyed their games and celebrated catches and wickets as well as some 4 hits.
Spent the afternoon pulling up weeds in the garden - a few weeks of neglect while we've had sunshine/rain weather had taken its toll. I also pruned the apple and peach trees as well as the redcurrant and raspberry bushes. I transplanted the gladioli so hopefully next year the crop will be even better. The peas were cleared away and the sweet peas cropped. Garden looks a bit tidier :-)
A built the new BBQ and cooked tea on it. The last Sunday of our school summer holidays. Just tomorrow to sort things and then it's back to school on Tuesday :-( don't want them to go back yet.
