Power of the Sun

One thing that Australia does not lack is sunlight. When we went through Innamincka South Australia (smaller then Birdsville) The homestead that we stayed on was powered by this array of solar cells and huge storage batteries. The pub and a transport yard relied on disel everyone else had sunlight, expensive to set up but eventual you break even.

Altho Innamincka is remote and isolated the local pub caters up to a 100 meals per night for (grey nomads) Australian for retired people, we are a very mobile lot.
