Butterfly's Got the One-Shoe Blues

You know, this is one of the stranger things to happen in a while. A red-spotted purple butterfly made its way up onto our front porch, where it landed on one of my husband's white Crocs.

Apparently, these big white shoes inspire trust in small creatures, including both bunnies and butterflies. Or perhaps it says something more about the guy who wears them, even if it's only that "He has a flavor."  :-)

Whatever the reason, here's what happened. The butterfly walked all around inside the shoe for several minutes. "Hey, look out, did you remember to check your shoes for butterflies?"

Then it climbed up to the tippy-top, just like this - some nice shoe bling, eh? - before it flew away!
