Summer blends into Autumn

Hearing birds chatter I looked up. Atop this very high lighting mast (it illuminates a shopping mall car park) a small flock of starlings were chattering.

A definite sign of the changing seasons, they will soon be joined by cousins flying in to winter here.

And most of the UK's swifts are already on their way to central Africa. They always seem to arrive together, and leave together.

My excuse for Mono Monday is ....... it was starting to drizzle. Again.
