Walk planning

I am leading a U3A walk in September and am doing the recce tomorrow. Blip shows just some of the paraphernalia required (techy and old fashioned) to assist me ... 1:25k map, compass, gps and the essential Wainwright's guide.It should be a 9 mile circular from Mardale Head up Rough Crag to High Street and then continuing round to Mardale Ill Bell, Harter Fell and possible Braintree depending on progress.
