Somerset House ( not raining )

I visited Somerset House in London today for the first time. I met a friend who has suggested we try the perfume exhibition. We were taken through 10 spaces with a fragrance in each space shown in an interesting and multisensory way , so for example one room was set out as a confessional box and the scent was heavily reminiscent of a Catholic Church - frankincense and sandalwood. After each room we were told what the notes in each scent were and who the creator was. Then at the end we attended a lecture by a perfumer who demonstrated how various notes are put together in layers to make a fragrance. It was really interesting. Then we had lunch, Laotian food - very good.
