Mono Monday #187 ... Water ...

Today an image of leaves of the Lady's Mantle in the backyard. The scientific name is Achemilla mollis. 

 One of the characteristics of these grey-green to green leaves is that -  while they are often covered with soft hairs  - they can hold the moisture for a long time. They show, so to speak, a high degree of water-resistance, so called the Lotus Effect.
