Eclipsed

The sun and moon overlap came and went in a matter of minutes. I met up with my golfing partners at the club to indulge in the viewing of the 80% eclipse while having lunch and a good conversation on the terrace.

Clouds started rolling in ahead of rain but we caught nice clearings to view most of the process. It was less dramatic than it had been billed but an awesome sight still. At peak, it felt as though the temps dropped but that may just as well have been because of the clouds. Glad I was only 15mns away from home: I'd hate to be in the throng of thousands heading back from various locations right now :)

Extra is the 'cereal box' viewer that some improvised: I found that device just about as cool as the eclipse itself!
