What happened to the sun?

Taken during the U.S. eclipse on my front deck this little geranium offshoot is having its first bloom and blip session.
I live in a place that rarely gets to see celestial events due to clouds or storms. It was lightly cloudy and overcast when we should have seen a partial eclipse here before 2 p.m. The sunlight got dimmed a bit, that's all.
On the other hand we had a bonus with no crowds invading us to take pictures and wear funny glasses.
However, this little geranium was ready to show off and no flash lighting was required for blipping.
After all the weeks of hype about the eclipse, including Trump acting as if he was looking right at it even against all advice (that's him all over), it was a real ho-hum event up here in NY state.
The little geranium will come indoors for the winter whenever that starts. Not today with 82ºF. Thunderstorms now and, of course, no snow
