RIP

It was a magnificent tree over most of it's lifetime. I got never sick of taken photos in it's various stages. Only day before yesterday we dicussed that it was time to cut it down because it was dangerously leaning towards the pool fence. Yesterday afternoon we had one of the first seasonal storms - quite fierce with a lot of rain and high winds. When I came home from my shortened round of golf my tree was down. It was very sad, but even at the end it did us something good - it dropped into the best possible place without destroying anything! In a couple of month a new growth will appear in the hole left by the old tree. Hopefully it will be as beautiful as old one.
