A Sweet Surprise

Yesterday afternoon, I received an intriguingly thick envelope in the mail from Canada.  Inside, there was this utterly charming little painting of our darling dearly departed dachshund Sally by the super talented ex-blipper and Boston Marathon runner Subjunctive (a.k.a. Paula).  I will treasure this always -- not only because Sally was the dog of my lifetime, but also because I adore Paula, and I will think of her every time I look at this beautiful portrait.  Thank you, dear friend!  xox
