It might look like a dull photo of a dirty skirting board but this soon became a highly detailed sketch of exact measurements of the new piece that we would need to fix our dilemma.  The previous owners of the flat had not only stuck the skirting board to the wall but then screwed it on as well before filling in the holes that the screwheads were in (aka made it impossible to remove). Normally wouldn't be an issue but they also installed it in front of the dishwasher making it impossible to remove without taking the skirting off.
