Ooooh!

I got some lovely common blue butterfly pics but have chosen to post this as I think it's quite striking with the dark background. This female crab spider's stance, with one leg up to her mouth, reminds me of Frank Spencer in Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. Don't know why she did it. Maybe she was rebuking me? :) I apologise to all arachnophobes.

I thought Marie of Roumania was made up by DP. I've just watched the fascinating video about her and the analysis of DP's poem. Poor DP was unlucky in love and had a sad family life but rose above it all with her witty writing.
