Vacant and Derelict

A visit to a really inspiring project in Southside, Glasgow.

This site has planning permission for houses, but the practicalities are holding it up. So, the owner has an agreement with a local group that they can use it to grow vegetables, and wildlife attractive plants.

No security, but very little damage. Also, because there are more people there the fly-tipping has reduced, and any that does happen gets reported and dealt with fast.

This site and the others are very popular and are helping people that find it difficult to get out and eat healthy to do just that.
