Casper

I have named the new bunny Casper. Not as in 'the friendly ghost' but as in the name of Old Persian origin of one of the three wise men, meaning 'treasurer' or 'keeper of the treasure'.

At 8 weeks, Casper was old and independent enough to come home today. A colleague from work drove me to collect him.He's been settling in well in his pen and has also been eating and drinking well.

Unfortunately, he's also trying to become an escape artist. He's so small that he was able to get his head through the bars several times and he also managed to get his chest through them once. I really hadn't counted on him being able to do that and have had to take temporary emergency action to stop him getting out of his pen. I'd taken tomorrow off from work to keep an eye on what Casper gets up to once he'd settled in more and will now also have to look for a more permanent solution to his escape attempts until he will one day (hopefully) have grown a little more and can't get his head between the bars anymore.
