Toilet Trouble...
Please excuse the blur (one of those iPhone live photos that I hate but D forgot to change the setting on his phone camera) but there was so much laughter coming from Alan's sitting room tonight David sneaked through to see what was going on. When he got there, Alan and Zoe were in the throes of a game of Toilet Trouble.
For the uninitiated, Toilet Trouble is a game full of "hilarious and suspense-filled moments as players take turns spinning the toilet paper roll, flushing the toilet handle, and hoping they don't get sprayed with water" Which Flush will cause the Gush??!! is the strap line. Honestly, who thinks these things up?! Well whoever it is, I am delighted they do because our lad, with his toilet humour (no pun intended :-)) thinks it is brilliant. I think his face says it all!
He's not been himself the last couple of days with suspected oral thrush so D took him to the docs this morning. He wouldn't open his mouth to let the doc see his tongue but from D's description, the GP agreed with our diagnosis.
As expected Alan refused to take the liquid medicine orally but I did manage to get some Daktarin gel into his mouth on the tip of a small tooth brush. I'm not sure if seeing the doctor had a positive effect on him or if the tiny bit of gel has started helping, but he was definitely much livelier this evening than last night.
Today has been non stop again. Visit from the dietician this afternoon. Alan has gained another kilo and is now the heaviest he's ever been (still a skinny 45kgs) but he is going in the right direction. With his type of CP and the fact he takes after D's side of the family (tall and skinny) he's never going to be heavy but if he could get to 50kgs I would be happy.
An evening spent mainly online trying to get everything that needs done done before Lola arrives. Suddenly realised how tied we are going to be for the first few weeks at least. Tomorrow will be mad as it's our last free day before we pick her up, as we are seeing friends and D is playing golf on Thursday.
Carole emailed me some more photos of Lola this evening but I will refrain from putting them on here as I will have enough of my own photos to bore you with once she arrives :-))
Now I really must get to bed!
