Beautiful, calm

and peaceful at Pilot Bay, Mt Maunganui today as J and I headed for our walk around the Mount this aftenoon.  First time I had been around since the track reopened after being closed for several months by a major slip which has resulted in some quite steep steps being built. Have included two extras taken at Papamoa Beach earlier this morning.  1 - two dogs out for their early morning run along the beach.  2 the grasses on the sand hills turning a rich bronze colour as the sun rises above the horizon. Had a lovely catch up, out for lunch  and a good trip back home.
