(Phew, quite a few photos added in the last couple of days, but that's July now all online!)

Glasgow's main maternity hospital moved to a site on Rottenrow in 1860 and, although it had various formal names, most recently Glasgow Royal Maternity Hospital, was generally known as 'Rottenrow' by all and sundry. After 140 years on that site, the hospital was relocated to new, state-of-the-art premises in Glasgow Royal Infirmary in 2001. The site itself was purchased by the adjacent Strathclyde University and, as the buildings were deemed unsafe, were demolished apart from the front (extra picture) and side gates (main blip). It is now called the Rottenrow Hospital Memorial Park.

A bit difficult to photograph on the day I visited, as the sun was directly above and ahead, and a 'white van' decided to park just in front of the view I had intended to shoot.
