Jazz After dark
I had a brilliant show at Jazz After Dark in Soho, my show is called A Century of Songs as I sing jazz, blues, soul, funk, house, pop and disco! I sing 3 x 45 minute sets but last night I definitely sang for longer, I had a great crowd including my lovely cousin Sophie (right) her beautiful daughter Rosie (centre) and my old drama coach Liza Keast (left) who I haven't seen for ages! Also my friend Sammy from Charing Cross Road and a friend of a friend from Sydney as well as 4 Aussies from Melbourne who now live here who came to a show I did there in 2009! It's an intimate space, lots of fun and laughter.
My friend the amazingly talented Lewis MacLeod was there and introduced me in a multitude of voices including David Attenborough, Trump, Stephen Hawking and Christopher Walken!
My wonderful friend Nicola and i met up at 6 and went for a local Italian which was very good and caught up on all our news, I haven't seen her since May, she was on the door again tonight giving people a warm welcome.
Too bad max had a tooth extracted today and wasn't up to coming so sadly this is the only photo of the night and it is blurred!
