Latrigg Vista

The fell of Latrigg stands only at 368m/1,207ft high, but the view from its summit is one of the best in Lakeland. Keswick lies on the northern shore of Derwent Water with row upon row of fells behind. As I admired the view on another overcast day, a shaft of sunlight broke through the clouds and lit up the southern end of Newlands Valley beneath Hindsgarth and Robinson. Magical!

The wavy crest of Causey Pike can be seen right of photo, and the iconic rounded summit of Catbells left of centre.
