Lichfield Cathedral

I had to go to the bank this lunchtime. The early morning humid gloom had given way to glorious blue sky (it didn't last long). I decided to wander up to the Cathedral Close as I haven't been there for some time.

I enjoyed the little walk (a good sign)

It always puzzles me that in calendars of "The Cathedrals of Britain" you rarely see a photo of Lichfield. I think it would probably be a "Pointless" answer if contestants were asked to name English cathedrals.

But then, unlike places like Tallinn and Barcelona, you can take a photograph without hordes of tourists. (Obviously I don't count locals with pushchairs)
