Safety first

Recently the crossing patrol operatives have been given these 4 cones to prevent people like me parking too close to the school gate, which obscures their view of the oncoming traffic. Quite sensible.

There are 2 people who work this patch one male and one female. They alternate between this and another road on the other side of the green. The lady invariably arrives early and assembles the cones as they appear here. On the days when the man manages this crossing he waits till she is safely at her other post and then removes one cone and moves the other 3 closer together, thus enabling one car to park near to the gate! It's conical comical!
