The storm crashed and the rain came down

... the lightening forked down around us and the sea heaved on our whale watching trip today.  Unfortunately we didn't see any whales but an awful lot of people being sick.   

Ann took a photo of the whale sitings for this month and we definitely had bad luck.  It's the wettest I've been since walking out on the NY Moors, years ago and even then I didn't have to sit in a puddle.  As many of us as possible huddled under the wheel arch while the worst of it came down though I'm not too sure what happened to the others.  

We've no complaints about the captain and crew and felt absolutely safe with him, he certainly knew what he was doing (and I think we are going to get our money back, though it really wasn't his fault).

Fortunately this seal was obligingly eating a salmon in the harbour as we left.
