Shapwick
A trip to Clark's village to buy the boys school shoes and a trip to Shapwick National nature reserve to get over the trauma.
This is an amazing spot. We followed a path through lush woodland full of ferns, mature oaks, baby frogs to a hide where we had this view across the reserve to Glastonbury Tor (Can you spot it?). Met a lovely couple who let the boys use their binoculars. We saw an egret and some cormorants and as we walked back a bittern.
It's a magical spot and we will return for the famous murmurations.
