Went to Scunthorpe steam raliway. It is only open on certain days as the Preservation society own the locos [saddletanks] and ex BR carriages, etc.  They run on the vast amount of track that is Britiah Steel. It is nothing like the usual Heritage steam railways.. It can be disconcerting to see a large diesl bering down on you or following you but they just go round some of the track. Different yes, I am going again on Saturday... woopee
