Solar Eclipse Beverly Beach, Oregon

Kathy and I were hugely fortunate to be among the first folks in the USA to see the most amazing of celestial spectacles.
As the progression of the Moon gradually covered the face of the Sun a bank of ocean fog enveloped us threatening our view of the event.
The dramatic drop in air temperature caused the fog to sink, allowing us a nearly unimpeded view of the Sun's corona while surrounded by otherworldly swirls of dense fog.
The additional photos show the "Diamond Ring" effect as the Sun began to reappear and a pair of fellow watchers who wore Corona Tiaras to celebrate the event.
What great good fun!
