My Lens?

It was a very hot and sweaty morning walk after leaving the house in a monsoon which threw in a couple of thunder claps. 10 minutes in and it had all stopped and the sauna conditions set in ..... and me in full wet weather gear!

It was a fairly uneventful day - apart from an order of coffee arriving and being wrong! Nothing that can't be sorted, just inconvenient and time consuming.

This evening some of the camera club headed out to the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway (a heritage line) for an out of hours and 'access all areas' (nearly) visit.
I only took two lenses with me (a wide angled zoom and my general 'walkabout' mid range zoom) ...... most unusual in these circumstances.

Unfortunately before the tour even started on of the other members managed to trip over my tripod and send the it, the camera and lens in the general direction of 'Down'!

The lens and the battery cover parted company from the camera when it all hit the ground in fairly spectacular fashion..
The battery cover went back on no problem - the lens.....not so well!
The mount is now missing bits.

No great sweats - accidents happen and that is what insurance is for.

However, it left with with only a rather wide angle for the evening which meant a wee bit of thinking 'outside the box' for a lot of the time ....... and a bit of a problem for the wedding I am shooting next week!
