Shirley Valentine eat your heart out........!!

Argostoli is the capital / main town on Kefalonia, to the North lies an area of water called the Argostoli Gulf. The top end of the gulf is fed by fresh water which feeds through a wetlands area.........
The area just teems with wildlife, birds, insects, reptiles and mamals all live here,
Herons, Egrets, tortoises, turtles, butterflies and dragonflies...........did i mention the eels...........!!
I visited this wetland area 7 or 8 times in the last 3 years, and the only other person i've seen there is Bev, my wife.
If you like wildlife and tranquility you have to visit this wetland area if you visit Kefalonia.

The sunbeds and umbrella are roughly a mile south of the wetland area, they're provided by a small cafe which sits by the side of the gulf, it's never busy, and the service is second to none.

If your craving that Shirley Valentine moment, you're allowed to wade out to the beds with your drink, and any food order will be brought to your table by a waiter, who needs Venice in surroundings like these..........
