Learning the ropes

Arnside Sailing Club teaches young people how to handle a sailing boat.
Being on an estuary there are just a few hours each day after the tide comes in when teaching can take place. There were four boats out this morning with an enthusiastic crowd of village youngsters.
This particular boat is named "Ashmeadow" after the historic house in the village. It has recently been bought and partly funded with a grant from the Barnes Charitable Trust.
