Rescued

We picked these chairs up this afternoon from the charity shop around the corner and they'll replace the loaners that we've been using on the terrace all summer. They've had a good scrub clean and a first coat of varnish on the arms, more restorative work to follow! They can then go straight into the cellar for the next 6 months - timing is everything!

Summer returned today, 30 degrees again, and with it came the evening thunderstorms. We were outside watching the lightning, getting buffeted by the wind and it was great but had to beat a retreat when the rain started. So back inside, just listening to the storm now. Still great.
