Expennsive day

New shoes!  The youngest needed his first shoes, so a trip to the shoe shop was in order. I tried Clarkes, but walked out before we got served after waiting for ages and not being very impressed with the fitters there.  Luckily, there was a shop two doors down that also sells children's shoes.  The eldest loves having his feet measured, so I asked for him to be measured, telling the assistant we were really there for the youngest, but could she humour us.  And of course, the eldest needed new shoes.... goodness only knows how many times this is going to happen over the next couple of decades, you go to sort out one of them, and the other also needs something.

So eldest sorted, the youngest also sorted, with the assistant assuring me that they have got 'pretty big feet'.  Sorry boys, you're not going to have dainty little feet. We then made our way to the outdoor shop for a new pair of wellies for the eldest, they haven't been off his feet since we bought them and would be in the picture, but are next to his cot, taken off only as he was getting into bed.  I think a new love-affair has started.
