Wedding and bad news

We went to the wedding of a friend's brother at the syrian camp tonight. Syrians sure do know how to party. The live music was ridiculously loud which means you just sit and people-watch and hardly talk. I find it quite emotional watching a roomful of people, displaced from their homeland who have been through a lot just having a lot of fun together. And I love how basic it is: empty hall, music, dancing, snacks and happiness.

But the evening was ruined when at the end our friends (part of the K fellowship) told us they're leaving by the illegal route to Europe next week and to come and visit before they leave. We are in shock and feeling really, really sad about it.
