inspired by a dream

I have dreamed for a long time of having a wood burning stove. The dream was dashed when we settled into our Kendal home and I realised how limited our living space was. No room for a stove, we agreed. Then I realised that one could be installed within the existing fireplace. What is more, we could reduce the size of the hearth, so it would no longer be a trip hazard. The dream was re-kindled, we did our homework and placed our order before the Autumn rush. Result: hole to be made in the next two days and fire to be installed next Tuesday.

So, the wallpaper is stripped, the ornaments put away and the 'dream' is pinned to the chimney breast in anticipation of the real thing.
