hanging on to summer
...a much cooler day than yesterday with a smattering of showers, but is was predominantly dry and we did see plenty of the sun. Autoglass turned up as promised, and did a fine job replacing the windscreen during one of the particularly long sunny spells.
Later this afternoon, we braved the bracing wind and went for a circular walk up to Durlston Castle and back. In the more sheltered spots, there were several tired meadow browns and a few of these small whites, Pieris rapae, feeding on ragwort nectar, which, in contrast, were in beautiful condition...
