Magnolia

What was planned to be a quiet getting organised and doing tasks before our holiday next week soon changed.  We were invited to join friends in an event at Bicton Park.  I went out early afternoon to purchase some tickets and took a photo of these magnificent Magnolias that are starting to bloom.  

Then it was home to organise a picnic and tea for the evening.  It was an outdoor music event with a Queen Tribute band and a very good supporting band K2.  I took the camera and tried my hand at some photos but none were that good but the night was enjoyable especially the supporting band and the fireworks at the end.  We were amazed by the organisation that some people went to with tables of food, wine and desserts for their group and amused by some of the outfits and false moustaches worn.  An entertaining evening that our son also came to, hope he wasn't too bored.
