Tour of city

We both had a day off today and decide to take a couple of the grandchildren on a tour of Liverpool. We always do the Red Bus Tours wherever we go in the world (if they have one), but never though of doing one in our own City. Which one, the options were numerous...Football tour...didn't get enough votes....City Centre....I black balled that one.....Beatles Tour......hmmm interesting apart from the youngest one asking who were they...the bruises wont show. Anyway we set off with a full bus of tourists from all over the world and UK. The guide was very scouse and I bit my lip a couple of times especially when he was describing The Cathedral. In fairness he was amusing, well informed and painted an excellent picture of Liverpool. Only low point was he was a blue. Albert Dock, inner city, cathedrals (2) Penny lane, Strawberry Fields, Mendips, River Mersey. about 90 mins well spent. Mrs D did a great job getting it for a very low price off Groupon (£19). Feet up now watching the test match before what promises to be a very busy Bank Holiday at Speke. Have a fabulous long weekend in the UK and enjoyable weekend elsewhere.
