Flower Friday

Dartmouth always looks extra colourful during the week of the Royal Regatta, especially along the quayside. In the background is the Dart Higher Ferry that crosses to Kingswear. It has sprouted some nautical flags for the season.

There's no parking in town at the moment, so we took the bus. It was packed upstairs and downstairs. Don't know how locals and visitors will manage this time next year; the bus company, Stagecoach, has announced that they're replacing our Plymouth-Dartmouth route double-decker bus with a single-decker. We have very few buses as it is, so there's little option for travellers to stagger their journies. Hey ho!

Today has been a complete return to summer. I lay out on the garden lounger and read all afternoon (well, for as long as my eyes remained open) - just lovely!
