Bye Bye Holly

Whilst we both worked from home, our tree surgeon was here removing a holly tree. This has been a long drawn out episode as many trees on our estate are protected. We've had to await confirmation from the council the holly wasn't one of them. After many months, the tree was down in a matter of minutes. A little more light into the garden now and hopefully the squirrels won't be able to get on next door's roof quite so easily. It also gives a bit more space to the much rarer Holly Oak tree next to it.

The extra light meant a beautiful bit of backlighting on this Mulberry tree leaf later in the afternoon.
