Bailey slept pretty well in his pop-up crate but took advantage of me checking the time at ten past six to avail himself of a sleep on the end of my bed. He went to wish everyone else good morning once he heard then stirring.
We headed up towards the Lakes for lunch, stopping off on the way for a browse in the secondhand bookshop in Carnforth. A couple more Observer's Guides found ( Weather and Garden Flowers) and added to the collection (of five.) The Watermill at Ings was our destination and their van was parked on the roadside near to where we parked. An obvious choice of a blip and whilst we didn't get collie wobbled, we did have a pint and brought some home too. Bailey made friends with the other dogs and their owners but generally settled down on the new slate floor. Back home via Beetham Nurseries. Bailey has slept for the majority of the time but did stir himself for a walk around the block when the drizzle had mainly stopped.
