Confusion
This little skink was skulking about in a bag of mulch at OGH this morning. You'd think it was your normal garden skink, except that it has a yellow belly. Now, it can't be the regular yellow bellied 3-toed skink because according to Atlas Australia that only exists on the eastern seaboard, roughly between Sydney and Brisbane.
It can't be a mulch-skink because that only exists in Queensland and beside has only 2 toes.
Clearly further research is required.
